Business Development Sr. Manager
Purpose
Support overall Amcor business objectives by utilizing business acumen, technical product knowledge and functional support skills to develop and maintain customer relationships in an effort to increase Divisional market penetration, product category volume and profitability objectives for end-user accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identifies and helps develop strategic relationships with potential and existing customers, to advance Amcor Tube Product Solutions and drive significant Tube growth
- Aids in marketing and product development teams to implement business development initiatives to facilitate new business growth
- Establishes and maintains relationships with identified end-user customers to increase opportunity pipeline
- Acts as a single customer contact for price authorizations, product recommendations, policies, and support
- Edits customers on Amcor Tube Product Solutions and innovation to create awareness and demand
- Understands customer's market segments, business strategies, and sales objectives
- Works with customer's purchasing and leadership to develop and communicate annual and semi-annual business plans and growth improvement plans where allowable
- Identifies market opportunities and develops internal plans to leverage incremental business and grow existing business
- Collects and synthesizes information related to market conditions, marketing plans / programs, and competitive activity
- Reports on market opportunities and customer issues within territory of responsibility and among colleagues
- When requested, applies market expertise and product knowledge to support colleagues in non-assigned markets
- Assists in identifying opportunities and developing plans to leverage incremental business
- Manages and nurtures warm leads to build new business relationships and new, profitable revenue
- Maintains and grows current end-user business while uncovering new product opportunities
- Understands end-user market segment(s) and business objectives
- Provides information related to market conditions, marketing plans/programs, and competitive activity
- Completes administrative requirements in a timely and thorough manner including prompt follow-up to resolve issues
- Proactively uses CRM tools to drive business results, manage performance, and contribute to capability of Sales Cloud
- Develops pipeline management metrics to increase organic growth opportunities
- Demonstrates a coachable attitude and remains accountable through the effective use of providing and asking for feedback
- Proactively sets and measures clear business objectives
- Serves as a role model with exceptional behavior and works collaboratively across disciplines and within the team
- Ability to articulate and support the vision, and influence across teams
Qualifications
- Independently work to manage one’s own time and resources in order to meet or exceed set objectives
- Explain/articulate relevant business/technical trends to others in a way that is clear and understood by the audience
- Identify problems, draw connections between data, and resourcefully take action to solve through cross-functional objectives
- Provide informal guidance and leadership to others
Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
5+ years of experience in B2B & industry in targeted segments (i.e. beauty, personal care, etc) highly preferred
Travel Required dependent upon developed opportunities
