The Role
The Business Development Representative will assist in reaching out to potential clients, building relationships with key decision-makers, and managing projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Identifying AV integration opportunities
- Developing relationships with personnel involved with audiovisual investments
- Creating a dialogue to guide investors and associated parties through the project process
- Conducting needs assessments
- Developing and pricing project budgets
- Reviewing and estimating project drawings
- Completing and pricing relevant spreadsheets and sales software
- Writing executive summaries
- Negotiating contracts and securing projects
- Visiting sites to review conditions
- Processing orders and change orders
- Collecting payments and preparing commission reports
- Assisting with administrative tasks as needed
- Participating in internal sales meetings
- Maintaining accurate historical records and documentation
- Providing recommendations based on product/service evaluations and competitive developments
Requirements
- Education: College degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred
- Experience: 3 years selling AV, IT, or cellular solutions into various verticals
- Knowledge: Low or high voltage construction experience preferred
- Skills: Proficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word)
- Track record: Show detailed growth in B2B sales
- Communication: Ability to simplify complex information
- Discretion: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Solving problems: Capacity to address intricate issues
- Attention to detail: Thoroughness in work processes
- Organizational skills: Effective in managing multiple tasks
- Client interaction: Ability to work with both internal and external clients
- Change adaptability: Flexibility in changing environments
- Independence: Capable of working alone and as part of a team
