BrainWorks is seeking a results-driven sales professional to aggressively pursue new business opportunities and acquire new customers, with a focus on Global Origin Cargo Management and associated supply chain solutions.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed assigned volume and gross profit goals by securing new business with new customers.
- Actively target, pursue, cultivate, and establish new business within the assigned territory and customer base.
- Prioritize high-value target accounts that align with our client’s suite of solutions and projected revenue and volume opportunities.
- Develop and deliver clear, professional, and effective customer presentations that advance the sales process.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership regarding opportunities, territory activity, the competitive landscape, and other information that supports new business growth.
- Lead and coordinate internal resources around key opportunities, clearly communicating the customer opportunity, stakeholder map, sales strategy, competitive landscape, and value proposition.
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly activity records in Salesforce and effectively use sales tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other company-supported platforms.
- Travel as required.
- Maintain strong working relationships with technology, account management, project management, and other internal teams to fully understand available services and solutions.
- Collaborate with business development colleagues, marketing, and pricing teams as needed.
- Identify opportunities to offer end-to-end solutions to prospective and existing customers.
- Support key industry events in which our client participates by maximizing customer meetings and building positive brand awareness.
- Maintain a strong understanding of our client’s services, including origin operations, technology, and destination services.
- Understand how solutions have been successfully implemented for existing customers.
- Continuously gather market, competitive, and customer information from available resources and share relevant insights with colleagues.
- Recommend networking opportunities, including local logistics conferences, industry events, and seminars.
- Manage and prioritize time, responsibilities, and sales activities effectively.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and prospective customers, both verbally and in writing.
- Manage travel and related expenses in accordance with business development goals, current opportunities, and company guidelines.
- Complete weekly timesheet requirements and submit expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain current and target account lists for management as requested.
- Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Manage and grow assigned accounts by meeting revenue targets while maintaining a thorough understanding of customer operations, stakeholders, and supply chain strategies (if applicable).
- Coordinate customer teams and internal resources to support successful execution, visibility, and a high level of customer satisfaction (if applicable).
- Maintain consistent communication and disciplined account management by recording activity in Salesforce, providing leadership updates, monitoring projects, and representing our client professionally (if applicable).
Requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous experience developing new business within third-party logistics, domestic transportation, or international transportation is preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo is preferred.
