About the role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) partners with Account Executives to drive pipeline growth by identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities within an assigned territory. This role manages outbound campaigns in partnership with account executives, identifies decision makers at key accounts, and works to pre-qualify new opportunities and schedule meetings with potential buyers. Our BDR team is a critical component of our revenue organization and will fuel the next wave of company growth.
Responsibilities
- Bring a world-class solution to market and function as the initial face of Optro
- Generate new business opportunities to fuel Optro's growth
- Leverage sales technology including Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Orum and UserGems to build and manage pipeline
- Make ~40-50+ outbound phone calls and 60+ outbound emails each day
- Manage your named accounts, own your territory, and help maintain data integrity in Salesforce.com
- Support marketing efforts by assisting in demand generation campaigns
- Achie, or exceed, weekly and monthly metrics including sales activities, meetings set, qualified leads, and new contacts prospected
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) is required
- 1+ years of prior inbound/outbound sales experience within a B2B SaaS environment is required
- Demonstrated cold calling and LinkedIn prospecting skills is required
- Have a strong desire to launch a career in the world of SaaS sales
- Audit or Accounting background a plus, but not required
- Enjoy working in a collaboratively competitive and fun environment
- Be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy, ever-changing environment
