Business Development Representative I-III
About the role
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Business Development Representative I-III based at our Greenville, NC location.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and engage prospective customers through phone, email, social media, and other outreach methods to generate qualified sales opportunities and build a healthy pipeline.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, business goals, and potential fit, then coordinate a seamless handoff of sales-ready opportunities to the sales team.
- Execute targeted business development and marketing campaigns in partnership with sales, marketing, and business development teams to increase customer engagement and demand generation.
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect information in CRM systems, track activity, and leverage data and market insights to prioritize outreach efforts and identify new opportunities.
- Level II & III: Analyze target accounts and market segments to develop strategic prospecting plans and maximize opportunity generation.
- Level III: Provide guidance, mentorship, and best-practice sharing to support the development of less experienced team members.
Qualifications
Level I:
- Bachelor's degree with 0-1 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Associate degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience
- 4 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Level II:
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Level III:
- Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in customer relationship management, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Associate degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience
- 7 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Ability to analyze sales, customer, and market data to identify opportunities and prioritize outreach efforts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage prospective customers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building and prospecting skills, with the ability to establish credibility, foster customer connections, and generate qualified business opportunities.
- Level III: Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and/or sales engagement platforms, with the ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.

Pay & Schedule
Full-time, permanent position requiring 40 work hours per week with 1-10% travel.
