About The Role
Paul Logistics is seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Representative I to join our growing logistics team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building strong client relationships, developing revenue-generating strategies, and navigating the fast-paced world of transportation brokerage and supply chain operations. You’ll be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, managing a strong sales pipeline, and working cross-functionally to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities in the logistics and transportation sector
- Build and manage a strategic sales pipeline to drive business growth
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations using Excel and other tools
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer support, operations) to ensure alignment on client acquisition strategies
- Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes and outreach methods
- Promote exceptional customer service and foster long-term relationships with clients
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition preferred
- Background in logistics, freight, supply chain, or transportation brokerage strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of sales principles, negotiation, and lead generation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of using data to inform decision-making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a goal-driven and adaptable mindset
- Able to thrive in a team-based environment and collaborate across departments
