Business Development Representative (BDR)
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation
- Execute multi-channel outreach across phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified conversations with hiring leaders and decision-makers
- Research target accounts, hiring activity, and market signals to personalize outreach and identify opportunities
- Use thoughtful, consultative messaging and storytelling to create interest and build credibility
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand hiring challenges and organizational needs
- CRM & Activity Management
- Maintain accurate outreach activity, notes, and pipeline updates within CRM
- Manage follow-up cadence and prospect activity in a highly organized manner
- Track performance metrics including calls, conversations, and meetings set
- Continuous Learning & Market Awareness
- Stay informed on hiring trends, workforce challenges, and industry developments
- Continuously improve outreach approach, communication skills, and business development strategy
- Develop a strong understanding of MissionStaff’s services, differentiators, and client success stories
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of B2B cold calling, outbound sales, or business development experience with a track record of meeting activity and performance goals
- Strong storytelling and communication skills with the ability to create engaging, business-focused conversations
- Ability to connect hiring challenges, market insights, and business impact into compelling outreach discussions
- Comfortable leading with proactive outbound business development activity on a daily basis
- High level of discipline, organization, and follow-through in managing outreach cadence and pipeline activity
- Ability to balance high-volume outreach with thoughtful personalization and research
- Strong work ethic with the resilience and persistence required for outbound sales success
- Coachable, curious, and motivated to continuously improve
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
