Business Development Representative

Responsibilities

  • Set at minimum 10 discovery calls per month for our account executives by responding to inbound interests and conducting targeted 1:1 high-touch campaigns to outbound prospects.
  • Drive leads into opportunities by creating and executing follow up outreach to inbound MQLs.
  • Actively engage in business intelligence gathering to identify potential opportunities.
  • Conduct targeted outreach activities against qualified accounts with the goal of setting discovery calls.
  • Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of experience as a BDR or SDR, preferably with a history of achieving or exceeding KPIs.
  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a go-getter attitude and a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
  • Proven skills in telephone sales and customer relationship building.
  • Ability to ask questions, listen, build rapport, and bring the client to “yes”.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and the capacity to work with limited direct supervision.
  • Experience with software sales or the association space is a significant plus.

Schedule

  • This role is remote-based.
  • Preference will be given to candidates located in or near the McLean, VA area, with occasional opportunities for in-person collaboration at a designated hub with the Business Development team.
