As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a crucial part in helping clients solve complex problems in the built environment, driving growth for a company known for delivering projects on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Research and Education
    • Identifies and develops a list of potential clients based on ideal client criteria.
    • Uses various communication channels to build awareness and connect with potential prospects.
    • Gathers and documents institutional knowledge on interactions with clients.
    • Identifies clients not a fit for Axiom based on criteria.
  • Managing Prospective Partner Relationships
    • Attends industry events and conferences to network and learn about client needs.
    • Schedules meetings to understand clients' needs and challenges.
    • Provides educational sessions and shares case studies to demonstrate Axiom's expertise.
    • Stays top-of-mind with clients through regular check-ins and follow-ups.
  • Developing Sales Leads and Qualified Opportunities
    • Generates interest with key stakeholders to initiate discovery conversations.
    • Supports presentations and follows up to generate opportunities.
    • Collaborates with team leads to penetrate targeted clients.
  • Building Rapport/Lead Discovery
    • Unearths clients' current and desired situations, business drivers, and decision-making processes.
    • Differentiates Axiom from competitors by highlighting key areas of importance.
    • Identifies opportunities for long-term continuous projects.
    • Begins building strategic relationships within targeted accounts.
  • Sales Planning
    • Executes the sales plan and communicates progress against the plan.
    • Communicates unexpected changes in opportunities to managers.
    • Submits forecasts and pipeline reports on a timely basis.
    • Manages and progresses a qualified pipeline of opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Prefer at least 3-5 years sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales.
  • Experience in the construction or A/E/C industry required.
  • Working knowledge of CRM system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
