About the role

The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving new logo acquisition within assigned territories and Micro/Mini customer segments. This role emphasizes proactive outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and strategic solution positioning, while owning the full sales cycle through deal close.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business by identifying and engaging new opportunities in assigned segments.
  • Execute outbound/inbound prospecting to build and maintain a strong new-logo pipeline.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Develop tailored solution proposals across hardware, software, IT services, and workflow offerings.
  • Collaborate with product, industry, and pre-sales teams to advance opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Engage decision-makers through consultative, value-based selling and ensure smooth handoff to Customer Success.
  • Work cross-functionally and participate in team meetings, reviews, and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales or business development experience preferred.
  • Experience using CRM tools and digital prospecting platforms a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • High energy, strong commitment to sales goals, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Tenacity, initiative, and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, applications, and technologies.
  • Agile in adapting to shifting priorities and tight timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical information in clear, simple terms.
