Business Development Representative
Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Business Development Manager and governed by the VP of Marketing, this is an entry level position that provides training on the fundamentals of electric supply sales. Primary focus is on generating and qualifying new business opportunities for our sales team as well as basic demonstration of key products and services.
About the Role
This is an hourly, full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position also earns commission.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, distribution office/showroom setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and digital cameras.
Physical Demands
- Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
- Light to moderate lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Involves climbing stairs in many of our branch locations; however, some material management and filing is required.
- On-site/field work such as tradeshows and meetings.
- Occasional regional travel required at 30%.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Entry level to 1-year sales or professional experience.
- Equivalent industry experience may be substituted for any of the above.
- Cold calling, previous sales training experience a plus.
