Business Development Representative
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of business development, growth, campaign execution, strategic outbound, and relationship development. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys creating opportunities, generating momentum, building relationships, and driving pipeline growth through thoughtful communication and modern GTM execution.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage outbound email campaigns targeting strategic audiences
- Closely partner with sellers to drive meetings, opportunities, and pipeline growth
- Develop personalized outreach strategies that feel thoughtful, human, and high-quality
- Maintain ongoing follow-up and relationship management with consultants, prospects, partners, and external stakeholders
- Closely work with Marketing and Marketing Operations to manage inbound MQL follow-up and engagement
- Monitor Gong and inbound lead activity to ensure timely follow-up with prospects and consultants engaging with marketing campaigns, ads, webinars, content, and other GTM initiatives
- Qualify inbound leads in alignment with the specific action or engagement they took, with the objective of scheduling discovery meetings with the appropriate seller
- Support opportunity progression to discovery by maintaining strong post-meeting follow-up, identifying additional opportunities within consultant and partner relationships, and contributing creative ideas that help move deals forward
- Help drive pipeline growth through outreach and relationship development with strategic partners and external organizations
- Leverage AI tools and automation to improve speed, personalization, research, and workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards for communication quality and originality
Requirements
2+ years of experience in outbound campaigns, email marketing, business development, growth, marketing, or related GTM functions
Strong written communication skills with an ability to write thoughtful, concise, and natural messaging
A proactive, execution-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, follow-ups, and moving priorities simultaneously
Curious, resourceful, coachable, and comfortable thinking independently
Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
Ability to balance creativity with execution and follow-through
Passion for creating opportunities and generating pipeline momentum
Experience with Salesforce, campaign platforms, or outbound tools is a plus
Familiarity with modern AI tools like ChatGPT and AI-assisted workflows is strongly preferred

Schedule
Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in-office in Chicago.
