About the role

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth for the Fin Sales organization through effective pipeline generation. You will lay the foundation for Fin Sales by engaging with prospects and customers, helping them understand the value of Fin through creative and engaging prospecting. We invest in our BDRs, offering opportunities to grow and develop at Fin, pushing beyond comfort zones to achieve ambitious goals. This role is ideal for someone excited to work in a fast-moving company, make an impact, and rapidly develop their career in sales.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Targeting: Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to build and prioritize highly strategic target account lists, including deep dives into firmographics, technographics, and intent data to identify top opportunities.
  • Expert Enterprise Prospecting: Generate new business pipeline through expert cold calling, highly personalized email, and targeted LinkedIn social selling. Craft hyper-personalized messaging for C-level executives, orchestrate multi-threaded outreach campaigns, and leverage sales intelligence tools to uncover critical insights and pain points.
  • Exceptional Prospect Experience: Deliver an outstanding and tailored experience for prospective enterprise customers, acting as the initial point of contact and ensuring a high-value introduction to Fin’s solutions. Articulate Fin’s value as a trusted advisor.
  • Product & Market Acumen: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Fin’s product suite and its value proposition.
  • Cross-Functional Optimization: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product to improve business processes that directly impact enterprise pipeline generation and conversion, providing valuable field feedback.

Requirements

  • Strong desire to build a career in Sales, with aspirations to move into an Account Executive or closing-based role in the future.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
  • 1+ year of customer-facing work experience (Sales and/or SaaS experience is a plus).
  • Experience and success working with Enterprise-sized accounts.
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to use time effectively and efficiently to complete revenue-driving activities, quickly identifying where to focus efforts to drive more pipeline.
  • Competitive Landscape & Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the SaaS landscape and target verticals, with a commitment to staying on top of the latest news and industry trends.
  • Prospecting Skills: Proficiency in cold calling, email, and social selling, leveraging modern sales engagement tools to deliver prospect engagement across multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn).
  • Communication: Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills to inform, instruct, and persuade different audiences. Strong listening skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Growth Mindset: Self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, with a commitment to daily improvement. Proactively seeks feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with these systems and tools: SFDC, Outreach, Cognism, Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Pay

The base salary range for candidates within the Greater Chicago Area is $40.10–$47.91 per hour, along with incentive compensation ranging from approximately $25,020–$29,896. For full-time employment, the estimated all-in annual compensation range (OTE) is $83,400–$99,653. Actual hourly rate will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, location, and other relevant considerations. This is a non-exempt, hourly position, and employees are eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable law. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive, as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Schedule

Fin has a hybrid working policy. Employees are expected to be in the office at least three days per week.
