Business Development Representative
About the role
The Business Development Representative (aka Strategic Growth Partner) plays a crucial role in driving net-new pipeline for the Strategic Growth Team at Compass. This role involves educating the Compass Agent Community about the benefits and importance of contributing to the Strategic Growth of Compass. SGPs partner with Compass Agents to identify potential Prospective Agents and then work with Strategic Growth Managers to introduce them to the Compass value proposition.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through both inbound and outbound efforts, including cold-calls, text, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns, and other methods.
- Articulate the Compass value proposition and objection handle to create qualified opportunities in the market.
- Work closely with Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies.
- Document all activities within the CRM, ensuring flawless data management.
- Drive active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create new processes and refine existing ones through innovative thinking.
- Analyze addressable markets in nascent geographies and create demand for disruptive technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, including history of strong performance (SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, Account Management).
- Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with a glass-half-full mentality and natural leadership qualities.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve problems independently, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills, able to lead client meetings and presentations.
- Highly organized, capable of handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-demanding functional responsibilities.
Location
Based in our Miami office, this onsite, market-facing role involves engaging clients in the field while collaborating with local teams and agents.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27 per hour ($80,000-$90,000 annualized), with the actual amount offered varying based on job-related knowledge.
