Business Development Representative
About the role
The Strategic Growth Representative (SGR) plays a crucial role in driving net-new pipeline for the Strategic Growth Team. This role involves educating the Compass Agent Community about the benefits and importance of contributing to the Strategic Growth of Compass. SGRs partner with Compass Agents to introduce them to a Strategic Growth Manager (SGM), who then discusses the Compass value proposition with the Prospective Agent.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through both inbound and outbound efforts, including cold-calls, text, emails, integrated marketing campaigns, LinkedIn campaigns, and other methods.
- Articulate the value proposition and objection handle to create qualified opportunities in the market.
- Work closely with the Strategic Growth Managers and Team Leaders to develop successful prospecting strategies.
- Document all activities within the CRM, maintaining flawless data management.
- Drive active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create new processes and refine existing processes through innovative thinking.
- Analyze the addressable market in nascent geographies and create demand for disruptive technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, including history of strong performance (SDR, Customer Success/Service, Direct Sales, Account Management).
- Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with a glass-half-full mentality and natural leadership qualities.
- Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively lead client meetings and presentations.
- Highly organized; able to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Track record of excellence across strategic, operational, and detail-demanding functional responsibilities.
Location
Based in our Miami office, this onsite, market-facing role involves engaging clients in the field while collaborating in person with local teams and agents.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27 per hour ($80,000-$90,000 annualized); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge and experience.
