About the role
An established engineering and industrial solutions provider is seeking a driven Business Development Professional to help expand its presence throughout the industrial and municipal markets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and creating long-term partnerships with customers.
What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial and municipal markets
- Develop relationships with prospective customers through networking, referrals, cold calling, and in-person meetings
- Expand business within existing accounts while uncovering new opportunities
- Meet with decision-makers ranging from plant personnel and operations teams to executive leadership
- Conduct facility visits to understand customer operations and recommend appropriate solutions
- Generate proposals, negotiate opportunities, and close new business
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve growth objectives
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities

- Can clearly demonstrate measurable sales accomplishments and business impact
Preferred Experience
- Business development or outside sales experience
- Experience selling technical, industrial, manufacturing, automation, chemical, or equipment solutions
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality
- Able to manage a sales territory independently
- Experience documenting sales achievements and revenue growth
