Business Development Operations Manager - Cardiology
About the role
As a Business Development Operations Manager for the Cardiology service line, you will help build and scale Iterative Health's growing Cardiology clinical research portfolio. In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner closely with business development, clinical operations, finance, legal, and sponsor teams to drive the successful execution of new study opportunities from initial sponsor engagement through contract execution.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end internal business development process from initial sponsor engagement through contract execution, serving as the single internal touchpoint for new contracts.
- Lead the cross-functional scoping and pricing process for new study opportunities.
- Support the Director of Business Development in preparing for key sponsor interactions, including developing pitches and proposals, building conference materials, and ensuring the team is well-prepared for high-stakes meetings.
- Keep the business development pipeline organized and visible by maintaining up-to-date reporting on where each opportunity stands across the portfolio.
- Track deal progression, identify bottlenecks, and proactively surface risks to the Director of Business Development.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve the business development process to accelerate deal pull-through and reduce time to contract close.
- Build and maintain the internal processes, tools, and documentation that support a scalable, high-performance BD operation.
Requirements
4–7+ years of experience in life sciences, clinical trials, business development, or enterprise partnerships.
Experience managing end-to-end commercial processes, from scoping and pricing through contract execution.
Strong cross-functional collaborator with a track record of working effectively across clinical, operations, and legal teams.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deals and workstreams simultaneously.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in healthcare or business (MBA, MPH, or equivalent).
Skills
Deep understanding of the clinical trials landscape, including sponsor and CRO dynamics.

Pay
New York pay range: $130,000 USD - $155,000 USD
