Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional hours as necessary)

About the Role

Assumes responsibility for the business development and prospecting of high-net-worth customers with complex business needs. Promotes bank products and services, delivers superior customer service, and performs lending activities (both consumer and small business) in accordance with the bank’s policies, procedures, and philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as Business Development Officer to grow market share and meet assigned goals.
  • Manages the Retail Dashboard and pipeline with a high level of independence for high-end business customers.
  • Develops a sales and quality service culture by coaching, mentoring, and leading branch employees to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes Tableau for proactive outbound call list generation and supports platform sales teams with coaching and best practices.
  • Coaches and observes platform sales team on CARE Sales conversations, documentation in CARE Power app, and usage of sales tools (e.g., LoanFit, CD comparison calculator).
  • Communicates expectations, goals, and objectives through team meetings and individual coaching sessions.
  • Reviews and recommends improved operating policies and procedures.
  • Makes personnel recommendations regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Mentors branch team members in complex phases of their work, including personal development and career planning.
  • Meets with all new-to-bank customers as part of the “Meet the Manager” program.
  • Manages branch business development, including proactive outbound calls and onsite visits with existing and prospective business customers.
  • Prepares and processes loan applications and documentation, and gathers details for new deposit account relationships.
  • Acts as “first-line” human resource administrator, completing required training and coaching team members on behaviors and expectations.
  • Completes employee performance reviews and coordinates staffing needs with regional management and HR.
  • Leads branch sales meetings, reviews sales goals, and ensures staff development and succession planning.
  • Attends training specific to business development, loan and credit decisions, coaching, and market advisory board meetings.
  • Manages branch profitability by monitoring staffing expenses, loan growth, deposit growth, fee income, and efficiency ratios.
  • Interacts with line-of-business partners to expand customer relationships and develop new contacts.
  • Handles branch audit responsibilities in operations, compliance, and security, ensuring a satisfactory annual Operation Assessment Review (OAR).
  • Directs customer service delivery and attends to customers with special needs.
  • Cross-sells bank services to encourage lending and deposit growth and refers customers to other departments as appropriate.
  • Ensures branch personnel meet professionalism standards and represent the bank in civic and community functions.
  • Maintains knowledge of current developments, trends, and federal/state regulations related to branch operations.
  • Ensures branch security controls to protect against criminal and fraudulent operations.
  • Maintains branch facilities and recommends capital improvements.
  • Fosters strong interpersonal skills to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Obtains and maintains S.A.F.E. Act certification and registration as required for Mortgage Loan Originators.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent in a business-related field such as finance, business administration, or accounting.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of general business experience, with an additional five to ten years of banking experience.
  • Proven sales success and business relationship management experience.
  • CARE certification within 6 months of hire.
  • S.A.F.E. Act certification and registration required for Mortgage Loan Originators.

Physical Demands

  • Operates a keypad device (40% of the day) and office equipment (10% of the day).
  • Travels up to 50% of the day for business development and training.

Pay

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $161,700.00
