About the role

The SVP, Business Development Officer – Asset Based Lending drives new business growth with mid-sized and large companies. This role builds strong referral networks and delivers customized lending solutions that create long-term, profitable relationships. You’ll have the autonomy to lead complex opportunities while collaborating across the bank to expand client impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new ABL business through strong Centers of Influence including private equity sponsors, investment bankers, attorneys, and accountants.
  • Develop high-quality prospects and convert opportunities into closed, profitable relationships.
  • Analyze financial statements, collateral reports, and risk factors to ensure compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Partner with internal teams to structure competitive pricing, credit solutions, and return strategies.
  • Cross-sell treasury management, capital markets, private banking, wealth management, and other non-borrowing services.
  • Cook up due diligence from initial screening through legal documentation and loan closing.
  • Represent the bank in community and industry organizations to build brand presence and referral networks.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting in Salesforce and other required systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of Asset Based Lending or B2B sales and business development experience
  • Proven track record of sales success and client relationship management
  • Knowledge of treasury and other non-borrowing commercial banking products
  • Reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive

Preferred

  • 10+ years of Asset Based Lending or B2B sales and business development experience

Pay

$157,570.00 - $270,120.00 per year
