About the role

This Business Development Manager position is focused on the Upstate New York area, including Western New York, the Finger Lakes, Central New York, the Southern Tier, and the North Country. The role centers on driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Caesarstone and key stakeholders such as stone fabricators, architects, designers, kitchen and bath retailers, builders, general contractors, and stone suppliers within the designated territory.
  • Drive revenue growth and foster long-term, mutually beneficial customer partnerships.
  • Develop and execute customer account plans, manage existing accounts, and identify new business prospects.
  • Represent Caesarstone’s brand of industry-leading premium countertops with sales and business development expertise.

Account Management

  • Manage and nurture existing accounts to build long-term partnerships.
  • Understand each customer’s unique needs, preferences, and project requirements.
  • Provide tailored solutions based on customer insights and deliver responsive service.

Communication and Reporting

  • Maintain open communication with your Sales Manager and provide regular input on account activity, status, and call reports.
  • Use CRM tools to track, maintain, analyze, and manage customer requirements effectively.

Customer Relationship Development

  • Grow market share through customer visits and product knowledge presentations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive customer and sales plans to drive business growth.

Business Development

  • Prospect, identify, and pursue new sales opportunities in the premium countertop market.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

Sales Strategy

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to align strategies with company goals.

Product Expertise

  • Become an expert on Caesarstone’s premium countertop product range.
  • Articulate product value propositions persuasively to customers and stakeholders.

Negotiation and Closing

  • Skillfully negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers.
  • Close sales deals to meet and exceed quarterly and annual targets.

Market Insights and Reporting

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  • Use market knowledge to refine sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM and present performance metrics to management.

Collaboration and Industry Engagement

  • Work closely with Order Fulfillment, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure high-level customer service.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and membership associations to maintain product and industry knowledge.
  • Build and leverage a strong industry network to open new opportunities and partnerships.

Working Conditions

  • 75% local travel using a company car to meet with existing and potential customers.
  • Flexible schedule required, including occasional weekends and overnight trips for customer meetings or events.
  • Proficiency with desktop computers and peripherals; manual dexterity required.
  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs may be required.

Requirements

  • Valid, current state driver’s license.
  • 3+ years of proven sales, business development, or account management experience.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong relationship-building ability.
  • Analytical mindset to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Responsive to internal and external customer needs; meets service and commitment deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player who aligns with company values.
  • Proficiency with technology applications, including MS Excel and CRM or Salesforce.
  • Experience in the building materials, interior design, or construction industry is a plus.
  • Stone industry experience preferred.

Pay

The anticipated total compensation range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000, which includes base salary and an incentive bonus opportunity. Base compensation is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
