About the role

The Business Development Manager on our retail field team plays a pivotal role in driving sales results in the residential construction space. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive market research, identifying high-potential key accounts, engaging with industry experts, attending trade shows, and monitoring competitor activity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to generate leads and evaluate the residential and home service market.
  • Identify high-potential key accounts that can drive growth and strengthen market presence, through data-driven insights and a proactive approach.
  • Evaluate the residential and home service market to pinpoint leading end-user accounts within specific trades and services.
  • Design and implement customized programs aimed at converting national accounts by leveraging initiatives like Impact Rewards, Trade In Trade Up, and Extended Warranty.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to account representatives to facilitate smooth adoption and utilization of these programs, ultimately driving increased engagement and long-term loyalty.
  • Cultivate and sustain direct relationships with the top 20-30 national accounts within the residential and home service market.
  • Engage regularly with key decision-makers, understanding their unique needs and challenges, and provide tailored solutions to enhance their business operations.
  • Establish a strategic partnership with national associations by leveraging our key retailers, Lowe's and The Home Depot.
  • Implement targeted promotions and other programs through these national associations to boost sales through the retailers.

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans. Proficiency in Salesforce.com, PowerBi, and Showpad. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage budgets and maintain fiscal responsibility.

Pay

The total target cash compensation range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00. This is the lowest to highest total target cash compensation range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Total target cash compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.

Schedule

This role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Therefore, the total target cash compensation range is inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation.
