Business Development Manager - Remote - Northeast/Midwest Territory
About the role
The Business Development Manager will manage the Northeast/Midwest/Southeast Territory and serve as a key member of the industrial sales and marketing team. Key responsibilities include generating sales leads, advancing the sales process, administering the sales funnel, providing application expertise, initiating and growing business relationships, and supporting the company's values.
Responsibilities
- Actively call on current customers and develop new business opportunities through quote follow-up and lead generation
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with the highest credibility and professional representation
- Mine territory for new opportunities and maximize customer value for all sales
- Understand market dynamics and channel management (distribution, service, OEM, end users)
- Maintain current customer accounts and record activity in CRM and ERP systems
- Provide call reports to management
- Professionally communicate with customers and Customer Service Representatives
- Effectively interface with Engineered Solutions, Production, and Estimating to ensure appropriate informational accuracy and customer expectations
- Other duties as required
Requirements
High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent industrial sales experience preferred. Understanding of industrial sales and territory management, effective written and verbal communication, motivation to succeed, ability to communicate with and persuade various personalities, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), technical ability and understanding of products and markets, analyzing trends, and presenting solution-based selling are desired skills.

$94,700.00 - $115,000.00 annually, plus bonus
