About the Role

The Education Business Consultant is responsible for selling Kerastase and Shu Uemura: Art of Hair Retail and Treatment products to High End Salons in their assigned territory. In addition to Sales, this position requires the delivery of Professional Education and hands-on training/support. This role is designed to achieve maximum sales potential within assigned regions by meeting or exceeding territory goals. The successful candidate builds relationships with new and existing salons, identifies growth opportunities, and upholds the integrity of the brand.

In-salon field time: 95%

Responsibilities

  • Understand and convey the Kerastase and Shu Uemura: Art of Hair luxury message.
  • Maintain a long-term growth strategy with salon clients, including:
    • Preparing a 6-month strategic sales plan to ensure achievement of company goals.
    • Evaluating client growth through analysis of sales patterns and treatment purchases.
    • Servicing salons with education and marketing/treatment strategies for success.
  • Communicate opportunities for innovation to management.
  • Monitor salon trends to identify areas for improved sales and client service.
  • Maintain and develop growth within existing salons through strong relationships.
  • Communicate and implement corporate objectives and programs.
  • Plan, prospect, and profile accounts to align with the Luxury Division Strategy.
  • Present and close approved prospects as outlined in the Territory Objective.
  • Accurately forecast sales volume and new client acquisitions.
  • Manage strategic and day-to-day operational responsibilities for sales and education in the assigned territory.
  • Ensure the correct brand image to position Kerastase and Shu Uemura as luxury leaders in the professional market.
  • Manage sales flow volume, educational needs, and acquisition of new clients.
  • Collaborate with regional management to reinforce sales, marketing, and growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experienced sales representative from the salon or luxury beauty industry.
  • College degree with at least 4 years of sales/retail background or related experience.
  • Licensed cosmetologist or stylist experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively within a given region and territory, as well as continental U.S. for key meetings.
  • Ability to work on weekends if needed.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assess strategic customer needs and build alliances.
  • Ability to perform both sales and education functions.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Salesforce.com, or related CRM).

Pay

Salary Range: $90,200–$128,500 (actual compensation depends on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level).
