About the role

We provide specialized logistics services to the clinical trial industry—including cold chain, biologic specimen transport, and clinical supply distribution—and we're hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business with CROs, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medical device manufacturers, clinical trial sponsors, central laboratories, and clinical supply providers. This is a hunter role for someone who already has a book of relationships in this space and knows how logistics gets sold into clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Own new business development for clinical trial logistics services, targeting CROs, pharma, biotech, medical device, sponsors, central labs, and clinical supply / clinical packaging companies
  • Build and manage a pipeline of clinical trial logistics opportunities—cold chain shipping, specimen/biologic transport, IMP (investigational medicinal product) distribution, ancillary supply logistics, direct-to-patient (DTP) logistics
  • Navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving procurement, clinical operations, and supply chain teams at sponsor and CRO organizations
  • Represent the company at clinical trial supply chain industry events and conferences (e.g., SCOPE, DPHARM, Outsourcing in Clinical Trials)
  • Develop and present RFP/RFI responses for clinical logistics services
  • Collaborate with operations on service capabilities (temperature-controlled shipping, GxP/GDP-compliant logistics) to shape proposals
  • Track pipeline and forecast revenue in CRM

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development / sales experience selling logistics, supply chain, or 3PL services into the clinical trial industry
  • Proven experience selling to CROs, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medical device companies, clinical trial sponsors, central laboratories, and/or clinical supply/packaging providers
  • Working knowledge of cold chain logistics, clinical trial supply chain, GxP/GDP compliance, IMP distribution, biologic specimen shipping
  • Existing network of contacts in clinical operations, procurement, or supply chain at pharma/biotech/CRO organizations
  • Track record of closing complex, long-cycle B2B sales
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry conferences
