About the role

The Business Development Liaison is responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing, including overseeing marketing initiatives, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, negotiating service contracts, and building relationships with referral and payer sources.

Responsibilities

  • Directs daily marketing operations and provides oversight of marketing initiatives.
  • Affirms adherence to anti-kickback, marketing activities, patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
  • Ensures maximum third-party reimbursement through negotiation of service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
  • Aids in establishing organization volume projections and marketing department allocations within the annual budget.
  • Maintains resource allocation according to budgetary limitations and conducts market assessments to develop a comprehensive marketing plan.
  • Employs marketing initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections and establishes positive working relationships with referral and payer sources.
  • Recruits, selects, orients, and manages the marketing team, and builds and monitors community perceptions of AFFINITY HOSPICE LLC.
  • Engages in strategic planning, identifies opportunities for additional services, and maintains comprehensive knowledge of the organization's markets.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing these resources.
  • Maintains cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts and reports findings to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least three (3) years' experience in health care marketing management, preferably in hospice care operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
  • Proven ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
