Position : Business Development Intern
Location : Covington, GA
Duration : 3 Months Contract
Total Hours/week : 40.00
1st shift

  • Analyzes business and clinical information in order to assess the attractiveness of new markets
  • Research and analyze sales trends and forecast potential sales volume
  • Construct market models and forecasts for New Product Development (NPD) and New Business Development efforts
  • Collaborate with NPD and assess technology solutions to market needs
  • Contribute to the NPD process by providing appropriate input on value proposition, product design, claim strategy, customer needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business and clinical information in order to assess the attractiveness of new markets
  • Research and analyze sales trends and forecast potential sales volume

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills and proficiency in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting using Excel
  • Good technical knowledge of medical device marketplace composition, drivers, and trends
  • Innovative thinking and technology aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, coaching and team building

Education / Experience

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, marketing or finance
  • Some healthcare experience/exposure preferred
  • Experience analyzing business opportunities

Language Skills

  • Full written and verbal command of the English language
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers

Mathematical Skills

  • College-level math skills required
  • Working knowledge of statistics necessary and some understanding of regression analysis preferred

Reasoning Ability

  • Strong problem-solving skills required
  • Conceptual thinker preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills necessary

Physical Demands

  • Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs
