The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the transportation and logistics industry. This is a business development-focused role centered on prospecting, relationship building, and closing new customer accounts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, supply chain sales, or a related business development role
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, pipeline development, and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong phone, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain a results-oriented approach
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business software applications
  • Preferred Experience selling transportation, truckload, dedicated, brokerage, or logistics services
  • Existing professional relationships within transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or related industries
  • Knowledge of transportation markets, pricing, and supply chain operations

Requirements

  • Full-time, on-site presence at our Wilmington, NC offices (28403)
  • Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Some travel may be required as part of client relationship building, not to exceed 10% of the time
