This is a high-impact sales role focused on building strategic partnerships, driving profitable growth, and helping customers solve complex infrastructure challenges through enterprise-grade server, storage, memory, and processor solutions. This opportunity is ideal for a consultative sales professional who thrives on building long-term relationships, uncovering growth opportunities, and collaborating across vendors, partners, and internal teams to create meaningful business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, accountability, resilience, and the ability to navigate a dynamic technology marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category growth strategies that expand revenue, profitability, and market share within the Components portfolio.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within existing partner accounts and strategic target accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with key partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to drive mutually beneficial business outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise infrastructure components, including storage, memory, processors, and related technologies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and business performance data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, vendor business managers, marketing, operations, and account teams to execute growth plans and maximize partner engagement.
  • Maintain a disciplined sales process, including CRM management, opportunity tracking, account planning, and pipeline development.
  • Conduct customer-facing meetings and business reviews, traveling regularly to strengthen relationships and advance strategic opportunities.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of Ingram Micro's Xvantage platform to create additional value for partners and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively through complex allocation, supply, and fulfillment challenges while maintaining exceptional customer experiences and partner trust.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of business development, account executive, outside sales, account management, or related consultative sales experience.
  • Proven track record of developing customer relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Experience managing opportunities, pipelines, business plans, or strategic account initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel regularly for customer and partner engagements.
  • Experience working in a goal-oriented environment with measurable performance expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing field-based customer relationships across a regional or national territory.
  • Knowledge of solution selling methodologies and complex sales cycles.
  • Experience working with vendors, channel partners, distributors, or reseller ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, account planning, forecasting, and sales analytics.
  • Experience operating in supply-constrained, allocation-driven, or highly competitive market environments is a plus.

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $58,000.00 - $98,600.00 per year. The range reflects the potential annual base pay for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, including primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
