Business Development Executive
About the role
Ford Office Technologies is the area’s largest independent full-line authorized provider of copier, printer, and multi-function product (MFP) technology from Canon, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, and Lanier (Ricoh). Since 1991, we’ve delivered top-tier products and services across Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio. Our family-owned business, headquartered in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, continues to grow with offices in Pittsburgh, Hermitage, Erie, Monroeville, and Niles, OH.
The Business Development Executive drives company growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and increasing revenue. The role includes a base salary and uncapped commission; an at-plan rep’s total compensation is structured as 30% base and 70% commission.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking and cold calling.
- Generate leads and convert them into long-term clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and competitor activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Negotiate deals and close sales to achieve targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using the CRM.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales or business development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
