Business Development Director for West Coast Territory(Texas to California)
About the role
This role is designed to drive relationships and sales within key strategic wirehouse firms. The majority of time will be spent with COIs, large complexes and branches, private wealth teams and Regional Directors, focusing on thought leadership, practice management, capital markets, and investment perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive relationships and sales within key strategic wirehouse firms
- Collaborate with the Relationship Management team and internal partners
- Engage in and deliver valuable practice management insights
- Represent multiple product offerings including: Mutual Funds, model portfolios, ETFs, SMAs, Index Funds, alternative investments and retirement solutions
- Provide consulting on a wide range of Fidelity products, tools, resources, and intellectual capital
- Lead to more relationships, stronger relationships, and sales growth across all areas of investment product
- 50-75% travel required, must be currently living within the territory (Texas to California)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7 and 63 required
- CIMA or CFA desired
- 10 years of field sales experience, preferably engaged with the wirehouse community
- Proven experience managing and growing relationships with advisors, teams, and centers of influence at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, and UBS
- Deep understanding of the needs of financial advisors and their management teams beyond products
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, decision-making skills
- Ability to stay organized, be resourceful, and prioritize initiatives
- Ability to represent multiple product offerings including: Mutual Funds, model portfolios, ETFs, SMAs, Index Funds, alternative investments and retirement solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills that translate into stronger relationships

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $65,000-210,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
