The Business Development Director - Dairy Segment is responsible for leading commercial growth initiatives across a strategic market segment, combining business development, account leadership, and market expansion responsibilities. This role will own the development and execution of growth strategies designed to increase revenue, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand market presence.

Requirements

  • Strategic commercial leader with experience in business development, strategic accounts, and market growth within food safety, diagnostics, dairy, or related industries.
  • Proven success in business development, strategic account management, sales leadership, or segment ownership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise accounts and multi-location customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute segment-level growth strategies.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or similar tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to communicate value and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management capabilities.
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use market insights and performance data to guide decisions.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, independence, and strategic thinking.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60-75% to support customer engagements, market development activities, and industry events.
