Business Development Director
Overview
Good Sam Enterprises is seeking a Director of Business Development to build and lead our B2B partner sales function. This role is foundational and responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new partner and commercial opportunities across our full portfolio of protection products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Pipeline Development & Deal Closure (40% of Time)
- Build and manage a pipeline of high-value B2B partner opportunities across all channel models
- Lead senior prospect relationships and complex deal negotiations
- Develop and refine a structured business to business sales process
- Coordinate with the F&I sales arm on product incorporation into third-party dealership programs
- Track and report pipeline health, conversion rates, deal velocity, and new partner revenue
- Team Leadership & Coaching (25% of Time)
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of an Account Executive, Partner Account Manager, and SDR
- Set clear performance expectations, growth plans, and accountability standards for each team member
- Conduct regular 1:1s, review call and pitch performance, and personally coach deal strategy on active opportunities
- Recruit and onboard team members as the function scales
- Partner Account Management Oversight (15% of Time)
- Oversee the Partner Account Manager function
- Maintain relationships with senior partner contacts and escalate issues when necessary
- Monitor partner performance, revenue trends, and satisfaction
- Commercial Strategy & Market Development (20% of Time)
- Develop and maintain a commercial framework for each partner channel model
- Identify and prioritize new market segments and partner categories
- Understand competitor landscape and provide input to Product Development team
- Develop quarterly plans for the team
Knowledge & Skills
- 6+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or player-coach capacity
- Demonstrated track record of building and closing complex, multi-stakeholder B2B partnerships
- Familiarity with F&I product structures and dealer channel dynamics
- Strong people leadership instincts
- Analytically capable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in CRM platforms and sales enablement tools
- Self-starter and builder

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
Pay Range: $134,400.00 - $206,100.00 Annual
