Business Development Coordinator
Job Summary
The Business Development Coordinator supports strategic business development and marketing initiatives that advance firmwide growth objectives. This role collaborates with attorneys and colleagues across Marketing & Branding, Communications, and Client Development to execute pitches, client programs, thought leadership, and market intelligence initiatives.
Primary Areas Of Responsibility
- Supports the development and execution of strategic plans to advance business development.
- Aids in drafting initial responses to pitches and proposals.
- Helps draft, edit, and submit ranking and directory materials (e.g., Chambers, Law360), including gathering data, preparing drafts, and tracking submission deadlines.
- Maintains practice group website content and marketing materials and updates the group intranet site and repository of relevant business development information.
- Plans and ensures the successful execution of client development events, such as seminars and webinars.
- Supports attorneys with client alerts, blogs, podcasts, newsletters, and other thought leadership initiatives.
- Initiates and analyzes client, market, competitor, and industry research to inform business development strategies.
- Collaborates with practice group leadership and the business development team to develop meeting agendas and summaries.
- Enters practice group data into various knowledge management systems, including business development tracker, experience manager, and Deal Cloud, the firm’s CRM.
- Supports firm Client Engagement initiatives, including client feedback, client teams, voice of the client programming, and training and content development.
- Assists with running financial queries and reports.

Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
Pay Range
CH: $56,000-$73,000
DC: $59,000-$77,000
NY: $62,000-$81,000
