Responsibilities
- Support business development efforts by assisting primary business development staff in a wide range of business development activities.
- Research new opportunities through web based applications.
- Conduct initial qualification screening on opportunities.
- Follow up on status of identified opportunities.
- Research potential business partners.
- Prepare PowerPoint briefings.
- Enter information into spreadsheets.
- Maintain contact lists.
- Schedule calls and meetings.
- Support capture planning and execution.
- Support proposal planning and execution.
- Build positive business relationships with clients, potential clients, and partners during the execution of the above activities.
Qualifications
- Formal Education, Certifications, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in English preferred or in process of obtaining.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Detail-oriented and good organizational skills.
- The ability to execute internet based research.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- The ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team setting.
- Motivation to learn and grow.
- Familiarity with SharePoint desired.
- Familiarity with government contracting desired.
- Familiarity with FedBizOpps and GovWin desired.
