Responsibilities

  • Support business development efforts by assisting primary business development staff in a wide range of business development activities.
  • Research new opportunities through web based applications.
  • Conduct initial qualification screening on opportunities.
  • Follow up on status of identified opportunities.
  • Research potential business partners.
  • Prepare PowerPoint briefings.
  • Enter information into spreadsheets.
  • Maintain contact lists.
  • Schedule calls and meetings.
  • Support capture planning and execution.
  • Support proposal planning and execution.
  • Build positive business relationships with clients, potential clients, and partners during the execution of the above activities.

Qualifications

  • Formal Education, Certifications, & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in English preferred or in process of obtaining.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Detail-oriented and good organizational skills.
  • The ability to execute internet based research.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team setting.
  • Motivation to learn and grow.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint desired.
  • Familiarity with government contracting desired.
  • Familiarity with FedBizOpps and GovWin desired.
