Description Emergencies, disruptions, and unexpected events can halt operationsbut not on your watch. As an Operational Resilience Specialist, youll ensure mission-critical functions keep running no matter what. This role provides senior-level continuity and emergency management support, leveraging deep knowledge of emergency management and established relationships to ensure uninterrupted mission continuity. Youll support an Intelligence Community (IC) client in maintaining a highly complex business continuity environment and managing a unique emergency communications program. Youll collaborate with SMEs, command centers, and external providers to develop and maintain a Casualty and Emergency Notification Program. Youll ensure timely notifications, analyze real-time metrics, and implement sustainable improvements to enhance crisis response capabilities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in business continuity and emergency management within the IC Experience with federal continuity directives, including FCD-1 and FCD-2, DoDI 3001.02, and government continuity plans Ability to manage personnel accountability programs and mass alert notification systems TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Bachelors degree Nice to Have Skills ExperiencewithMicrosoft Office products Ability to take initiative and make sound judgements Possession of excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) Certifications Skills Business continuity, Business continuity planning Top Skills Details Business continuity Additional Skills & Qualifications Mid level, TS/SCI with a polygraph. They cannot upgrade. Client likes to see Bachelor's, but if years of experience are great, they can waive. This program is supporting the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Office of Human Resources where the Personnel Accountability program sits. All of the work is onsite in a government SCIF in Chantilly at NRO HQ. Manage the office of HR continuity program. Mass notifications, send out and receive responses, report on the responses and take things to the next level. COOP is written, there is some annual maintenance and exercising of plan. No expectation that this person will need to write a new one. Daily tasks necessary to sustain office, accountability roster reviews, familiar with automated notification system. Day to day program implementation as well as writing and COOP maintenance. Ideally former military because they are used to working in these kinds of environments.
