Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions
  • Conduct and defend fact and expert depositions
  • Lead discovery strategy, including e-discovery coordination
  • Support trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
  • Advis clients on litigation risk and dispute strategy
  • Work directly with in-house counsel and business stakeholders
  • Supervise junior associates and collaborate across offices

Who You Are

  • 4th–7th year associate (counsel-level candidates may also be considered)
  • Experience in complex commercial litigation at a comparable law firm
  • Strong motion drafting and advocacy experience
  • Experience handling substantive litigation tasks independently
  • Background in commercial disputes, including contract disputes, business torts and fiduciary duty claims
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
  • Prior DOJ experience is a plus
  • Admitted to the Texas Bar or eligible for prompt admission
