Business & Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

About the role

Our client is seeking a Business & Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support all phases of complex business and commercial litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, legal briefs, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Manage written discovery, document review, and discovery disputes.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and assist with trial proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with partners on case strategy, client counseling, and litigation planning.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide strategic case updates.
• Deliver high-quality legal work while managing multiple complex litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Graduation from a top law school with exceptional academic credentials is required.
• Active admission to the Minnesota Bar and in good standing.
• 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
• Significant experience in Business Litigation and Commercial Litigation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Employment Litigation and Real Estate Litigation is highly preferred.
• Securities Litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with clients.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative litigation practice.
