About the role
The BB Sr. Loan Administrator (BB SLA) is an integral team member of the Business Loan Center. This role provides support to Business Bankers, Branch Teams, and Commercial Lenders in processing new loan requests and modifying existing loans. The BB SLA also serves as a resource for internal and external customers, facilitates workflow of applications and related documentation, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates workflow of BB applications through post-closing, meeting service level agreements.
- Performs due diligence to ensure clear lien position on all types of collateral, including reviewing and interpreting information searches, title reports, hazard insurance, appraisals, environmental reports, and communicating due diligence requirements to the customer and the field.
- Expedites closings by ensuring compliance with underwriter approval, identifying discrepancies, and reviewing with the underwriting team.
- Works directly with borrowers and lenders to ensure all proper documentation is received, reviewed for accuracy, and properly placed in electronic loan & credit files, maintaining and facilitating proper documentation in conjunction with LDCC and curing documentation exceptions post-closing.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and resource, training and mentoring less experienced Post Approval Team Members, serving as a point person for interbank training visits, and providing support in all PA areas in the absence of Manager.
- Troubleshoots complex loan product, collateral perfection, loan documentation, and other issues.
- Makes follow-up with internal partners to ensure compliance with various regulations, including Reg B declination and appraisal requirements, Flood, CIP, BO/CDD, and any other applicable regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- 3 years’ loan experience or relevant experience required.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow procedures and interrogate data required.
- Basic organizational skills required.
- Good communication skills (written and oral) required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Proficient in the Bank’s policy, procedures, accounting systems, and loan origination system.
- Extensive understanding of applicable regulations.
- Understanding of and ability to appropriately process complex BB loan products.
- Subject matter expert.
