About the role
TDS Telecom is seeking a Senior Account Executive (Business to Business) to join our Commercial Sales team. This role involves identifying and building relationships with prospective and existing customers, leveraging TDS' full complement of solutions, and successfully closing sales.
Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through cold calling and in-person meetings.
- Leverage TDS CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely customer status and forecasting using the CRM system.
- Write and submit accurate and timely new customer orders following the established sales process.
- Manage/placement of moves, adds, changes and deletions (MACD) for existing customer base.
- Conduct sales calls to determine customer needs, gain information, and effectively communicate TDS' value proposition.
- Meet or exceed sales and revenue growth targets for new and existing customer base.
- Regularly contact existing customers to build relationships and grow revenue from those accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with contacts and lead sources.
Requirements
- 3+ years sales experience
- 2+ years cold calling experience
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-system environment
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Track record of setting and achieving goals
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, Internet)
- Must maintain quota levels
Qualifications
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, multi-system environment
- Proven ability to manage a territory using technology, prioritization, and time management skills
- Track record of success in business-to-business sales
- Access to a cell phone
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others
- Computer literacy (i.e., Excel, Word, email, Internet)
- Must maintain quota levels
