About the role

TDS Telecom is seeking a Senior Account Executive (Business to Business) to join our Commercial Sales team. This role involves identifying and building relationships with prospective and existing customers through cold calling and in-person meetings. Key responsibilities include leveraging TDS' full range of solutions, such as hosted and premise-based VoIP, managed services, and web security, to address customer needs and close sales.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through telephone and in-person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments.
  • Leverage the TDS CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategies that ensure high activity and effective closing ratios for new and existing customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer status and forecasting using the CRM system for all new prospects and the existing strategic customer base.
  • Write and submit accurate and timely new customer orders following the established sales process.
  • Manage/placement of moves, adds, changes, and deletions (MACD) for the existing customer base.
  • Conduct sales calls to determine customer needs, gather information, determine how TDS can help solve business challenges, and effectively communicate TDS' value proposition to prospective customers and their existing customer base.
  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue growth targets for both new and existing customer bases.
  • Make regular contact with existing accounts, building relationships and growing revenue from those accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contacts and lead sources.

Requirements

  • 3+ years sales experience
  • 2+ years cold calling experience
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-system environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to clearly and effectively set and achieve goals
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, Internet)
  • Must maintain quota levels

Pay

The starting salary for this role is $87,000 per year, with the potential for uncapped monthly commissions and a sign-on bonus of $2,000. Final offers will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, location, and role-specific competencies.
