Business Banking Relationship Manager
About the role
Our Business Banking Relationship Managers combine sales expertise, relationship management, and financial acumen to help business clients achieve their goals. By developing new client relationships, deepening existing partnerships, and delivering tailored financial solutions, you'll play a key role in helping businesses thrive while growing your own career. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, connecting them with lending, treasury management, deposit, and payment solutions that support every stage of growth. Backed by a team of specialists and a full suite of industry-leading products, you'll have the resources and support to deliver meaningful results for your clients and your portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Allocate 65–70% of time to active prospecting, self-sourcing business, building a book from the ground up, and driving new client acquisition.
- Build, develop, enrich and manage new and existing relationships with business clients.
- Deliver financial expertise and client-centric solutions that build strong, long-term relationships.
- Assess and attend to clients' banking needs.
- Educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services.
- Recommend financial solutions based on each client’s unique goals and needs.
- Partner effectively with Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Business Banking Credit Card teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of relevant experience
Skills
- Knowledge of local market
- Strong business-to-business sales skills, with the ability to independently source and grow a book of business
- Strong business development acumen, grounded in effective sales practices and process discipline
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across multiple business lines
- Proven track record onboarding and retaining businesses with annual revenues between $2.5MM and $50MM
- Consistent track record of meeting measurable performance goals across quantitative and qualitative metrics
Schedule
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule. If not prospecting and meeting with clients, there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week with the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Pay
The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
Pay Range: $117,630.00 - $143,770.00
