About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Management Manager (LO) in Consumer Business Lending to lead a team of Business Bankers. This role focuses on client relationship management, client experience, acquisition of new clients, deepening existing relationships, and risk management for Business clients within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of business bankers, emphasizing client relationship management, client experience, and risk management.
  • Promote business growth by implementing strategies to increase revenue through new client onboarding, deepening existing client relationships, and retaining credit or deposit balances.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Make decisions and resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding team resources, objectives, and operations to meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers at multiple levels; interact directly with clients, represent the company externally, and lead a team to resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo’s business objectives.
  • Coach and manage the team to offer the full suite of digital solutions, developing best practices to engage product organizations and understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions.
  • Partner with Strategy, Sales, and Product teams to provide vision and leadership, leveraging market data and expertise to innovate and deliver solutions effectively.
  • Establish relationships with Wells Fargo partners across the assigned territory to develop partnership agreements that better meet client needs.
  • Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for the functional area.
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.
  • This LO position includes customer contact and may involve assessing needs and referring customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member. It includes assisting customers without taking an application or negotiating terms of a dwelling-secured transaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • 2+ years of commercial credit experience.
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, and train new employees.
  • Proven ability to manage a team in a virtual environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills across various levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership, team building, and partnership skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with a strategic business focus.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and influence decisions.
  • Proven leadership ability to drive successful execution of business imperatives, including planning, prioritizing, and setting goals.

Job Expectations

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility, though a credit score is not part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
