About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Management Manager (LO) in Consumer Business Lending to lead a team of Business Bankers. In this role, you will manage and develop a team focused on client relationship management, client experience, acquisition of new clients, deepening existing relationships, and risk management for Business clients.
Responsibilities
- Promote business growth by implementing strategies to increase revenue through onboarding new clients, deepening relationships with existing clients, and retaining credit or deposit balances within an assigned territory.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
- Make decisions and resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding resources, objectives, and team operations to meet business goals.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers at multiple levels; interact directly with clients, represent the company externally, and lead a team to resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo’s business objectives.
- Coach and manage a team to offer the full suite of digital solutions, developing best practices to engage product organizations and understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions.
- Partner with Strategy, Sales, and Product teams to provide vision and leadership, leveraging market data and expertise on client and market needs to innovate and deliver solutions effectively.
- Establish relationships with Wells Fargo partners across your territory to develop partnership agreements that better meet client needs.
- Manage the allocation of people and financial resources for your functional area.
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring.
- This LO position includes customer contact and may involve assessing and referring customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member, without taking applications or negotiating terms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- 2+ years of commercial credit experience.
- Proven ability to recruit, hire, and train new employees.
- Proven ability to manage a team in a virtual environment.
- Strong collaboration skills across various levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership, team building, and partnership skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with a strategic business focus.

- Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility, though a credit score is not part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
