Job Summary
Formulates/defines business system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents applicable programs. Supervises, evaluates, and/or provides functional guidance to assigned subordinate personnel or personnel assigned on a temporary or intermittent basis.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience working in business, payroll, human resources, academic, research, education, training, healthcare information technology, supply chain, grants management, ERP support, student financial software support, student information systems support, learning management application support, academic systems support, accounting, finance, enterprise software support or Workday application support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Pro accreditation a plus.

Responsibilities
- Researches, tests, debugs, trains, documents, releases, installs, and supports any business system supported by information systems.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and training to other staff.
- Oversees and works with staff, associates, and users to find the best means to meet business needs.
- Displays creative thinking and resolves problems.
- Develops specifications and conducts research with the assistance of users and others to design, create, develop, or enhance business system applications.
- Prepares the required documents in accordance with business standards, policies, and procedures of UMMC.
- Keeps abreast of current and new technologies and serves as a resource to other staff.
- Proactively researches and develops current technology for use in applications.
- Participates in project teams, special projects, and other tasks as assigned by director or designated team leader.
- Accomplishes goals and objectives within set deadlines.
- Develops policy and procedure for assigned areas.
- Promotes corporate integrity through compliance with the UMMC corporate compliance program.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold.
- Frequent exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations.
