About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team working on Capital One Shopping, a rapidly expanding consumer application designed to revolutionize online shopping experiences. This remote-eligible position offers an exciting opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, optimize product offerings, and enhance customer engagement through data-driven insights.

Your role will involve performing complex analysis, building models, supporting marketing strategies, and improving credit risk management processes. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem solver with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Master’s Degree in a quantitative discipline or an MBA with a quantitative focus (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in business analysis or related roles.
• Experience in statistical model building, market research, and SQL querying (preferred).
• Experience in consulting or strategic project management (preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze key business challenges and opportunities, providing strategic and tactical recommendations based on data insights.
• Develop and refine models and analytics to support new product development, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
• Aid in designing targeted marketing strategies and customer experiences by providing insights and analysis.
• Support credit risk management initiatives by creating predictive models, monitoring trends, and testing hypotheses to improve credit performance.
• Lead problem-solving efforts by developing hypotheses, conducting rigorous analysis, and developing actionable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
• Create operational feasibility assessments and lead the implementation of new initiatives.
• Develop monitoring plans to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
