About the role
The Business Analyst, IT Applications supports the Distribution BA team by performing tasks such as resolving production issues, participating in solution development, testing, and implementation. They work closely with IT Distribution BA colleagues to assist business resources in head office and global distribution centers. This role involves a strong IT component but also includes supporting business process reengineering and design.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements from Distribution stakeholders to design and propose effective Warehouse Management System solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design and document Warehouse Management solutions, focusing on usability and optimization of Distribution processes.
- Conduct thorough system testing to ensure functionality, accuracy, and efficiency before deployment.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for new functionalities.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the Warehouse Management system, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates.
- Participate and collaborate with other IT teams and Business stakeholders in business initiatives and larger scale projects.
- Provide production support to all Distribution Centers, including participation in the on-call support schedule.
Requirements
- University degree: IT, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ experience working in a distribution-related environment and inventory control/management, with supply chain/logistics experience being an asset.
- 2-5 years’ experience with an ERP (JDE would be an asset).
- 2-5 years’ experience with a WMS (Manhattan would be an asset).
- Automated testing tool experience would be an asset.
- System and process orientation.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team skills.
- Customer service skills and the ability to create and provide user training.
- Excellent written and oral skills in English, Spanish is an asset.
- Traveling may be required outside the United States – project/initiative dependent (10% to 30% of the time).
