About The Role

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and Agile delivery teams to define business requirements and support the development of innovative technology solutions. In this role, you will translate business needs into actionable user stories, leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis and documentation, and help drive successful sprint-based delivery of products and services. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment where continuous improvement and customer value are key priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and Agile teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Evaluate business requests and recommend solutions based on feasibility, business value, and data-driven insights.
• Conduct gap analyses between current systems and future business requirements.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and other Agile delivery activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and understood.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and support business and product decisions.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve requirements gathering, documentation, research, and data analysis processes.
• Define acceptance criteria and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate delivered functionality.
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities across teams.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and process optimization efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role supporting technology initiatives.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and iterative software delivery.
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Experience querying relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools for business analysis, documentation, research, or data analysis.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile estimation techniques, backlog management, and product delivery processes.
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), or similar credentials.

Pay

$40.00 USD Hourly - $42.00 USD Hourly
