Business Analyst I- Commercial Construction Projects
Overview
The Business Analyst, IS-Delivery is an integral part of the IS-Delivery Senior Leadership Team's execution model, providing structure, coordination, analysis, and reporting across the organization's portfolio of capability-maturity initiatives and inbound project readiness activities.
Responsibilities
Partner with IS-Delivery senior leadership team and functional leaders to understand strategic priorities, delivery challenges, and capability-maturity initiatives.
Maintain an integrated, portfolio-level view of initiatives across Legal, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Controls, Project Systems, Project Onboarding & Training, and related functions.
Act as a coordinating point across functional leaders to ensure alignment, sequencing, and awareness of interdependencies.
Develop and manage the overall initiative calendar, including milestones, dependencies, and recurring leadership forums.
Establish and maintain structured governance rhythms, ensuring initiatives progress with clear accountability and follow-through.
Track commitments, risks, and delivery constraints; proactively surface issues and support resolution.
Develop and maintain portfolio-level reporting that provides visibility into: Active IS-Delivery initiatives, Upcoming and inbound projects, Readiness across people, systems, processes, and governance.
Support leadership with forward-looking analysis to anticipate delivery demands and ensure IS-Delivery is positioned to absorb new work effectively.
Synthesize information across teams to create a clear, enterprise view of “what’s coming next” and associated preparedness.
Perform structured analysis using Excel to support prioritization, sequencing, capacity considerations, and performance tracking.
Produce high-quality executive-level materials in PowerPoint and Word, including: Portfolio dashboards and summaries, Capability-maturity roadmaps, Leadership update decks and briefing materials.
Translate complex, multi-stream activity into concise insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Plan and facilitate recurring cross-functional working sessions and leadership reviews.
Ensure meetings are outcome-driven, decisions are documented, and actions are tracked to completion.
Actively expedite deliverables and maintain momentum across multiple initiative owners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in a Business Analyst, PMO, Strategy, Portfolio Management, or related role within an Engineering or Construction environment or equivalent education and internship.
Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership teams, including preparing analysis, presentations, and decision-support materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to independently produce high-quality, executive-ready deliverables.
Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, organize multiple concurrent initiatives, and maintain momentum across cross-functional workstreams.
Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders & priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise messaging for executive audiences.
High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion when working with senior leaders and sensitive information.
Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines with accuracy, follow-through, and confidence in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong attention to detail while maintaining a portfolio-level, strategic perspective.
Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining structure and clarity.
Pay Range
USD $58,500.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
