About the role
The position is for an experienced IT Specialist to assist the program area with documenting, developing, and maintaining business applications and processes and system requests for the adult protective services statewide database ASAP.Net for compliance with new federal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Check current system reports for accuracy against current scripts and intended outputs.
- Be responsible for tracking work products and enhance requests.
- Create desk support guides.
- Assist with testing.
- Facilitate meetings with users to identify and gather business needs, business rules, and security requirements.
- Validate requirements against application performing unit and regression testing.
- Develop complex reports into PDF and Excel.
- Utilize systems similar to COGNOS.
Requirements
- 84 months experience in facilitating meetings with users to identify and gather business needs, business rules, and security requirements.
- 72 months experience in validation of requirements against application performing unit and regression testing.
- 60 months experience in developing complex reports into PDF and Excel.
- 60 months experience in utilizing systems similar to COGNOS.
- Bachelor's Degree.
Project details
ASAP.Net is the statewide system of record for the local social services agency outside of NYC to track referrals, eligibility decisions, and ongoing casework for adult protective services. ASAP.Net needs a complete update/change to be compliant with the new federal APS regulations and has pre-determined reports generated within the system and reports run through COGNOS that live in the OCFS Data Warehouse. The whole system and the predetermined reports must be re-evaluated due to coding issues.
