Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to EDI processes and integrations.
- Act as the liaison between business users, trading partners, and technical development teams.
- Analyze, map, and validate EDI transaction sets including X12 standards.
- Cook up onboarding of new trading partners and support EDI implementation projects.
- Work with integration teams to define functional specifications and data mapping requirements.
- Coordinate monitoring of EDI transactions, identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating resolutions.
- Support testing activities including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards and industry best practices.
- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, mapping specifications, and user guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and optimize EDI workflows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience with a strong focus on EDI implementations.
- Experience with EDI mapping and integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of EDI communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTP, and VAN.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthcare industry EDI transactions.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards such as HIPAA.
- Certifications in Business Analysis or EDI.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
